Who We Are
Our Mission

Our mission is to make African cultures known through their art and design, to project their identities in the global world, and to help our users learn, decor and build great collections. We are present worldwide to reach culture lovers of all ages, so that they can enjoy the art of living in an authentic experience of traditional and contemporary Africa.

Our Values

- We care about our service standards and professionalism.
- We want to inspire Africans that when working well and with clear goals, everyone can succeed in their projects. Expertise is our main asset.
- We appreciate the authenticity of African heritage and its central role in the origins of human civilization.

What We Do

AFRICAN ART & DESIGN is a cultural education platform that connects people in a positive collaborative environment to explore the diversity of the African creative universe.

It responds to the needs of many people –who lack the knowledge and skills to purchase quality African artwork confidently– with a supportive network of experienced collectors, specialists and decor designers.

We do so by conducting a series of activities that educate the general public, simultaneously growing the interest of a global audience for the African styles and building deeper relationships with the community of artists, both online and offline.

A Cultural Education Platform
Words from the Directors

We have a digital archive for Cultural Education and showrooms located in three major cultural cities in Africa and Europe (Douala, London and Madrid) that invite an expanding network of people to enjoy arts and humanities. AFRICAN ART & DESIGN'S team includes two experienced Afro-European project directors in the areas of African Art and e-Business, and the help of other expert professionals in other areas.

Our Approach

Our platform offers a unique approach to the study of Africa, providing exposure to topics that are central to the history and thinking behind the arts. In this way we contribute to pluralistic democratic nations that develop positive identifications between their past and present cultures, enhancing the brand Made in Africa for all cultural productions from creators in the continent and the diaspora.
